Buying a counterfeit product isn’t a crime. Laws are broken if someone knowingly sells a counterfeit product.
The difficulty lies in a lack of understanding of the law. “Counterfeit” has a very specific meaning – it defines a product that is knowingly produced or offered for sale with the intent to deceive. To be upheld in court, it needs to be shown that the seller was knowingly selling a non-genuine article as the real thing.
What people buying a watch that are referred to as replicas people know they are not real – this is reflected in the price and in the product descriptions. If the seller makes a statement that it’s not genuine, it’s not defined as selling counterfeit product.

Rolex.com lists it for sale but I am not sure if they just get your
name and information to be put on what a Rolex Dealership
calls a “Waiting List”.
A Rolex dealership “waiting list” does NOT exist.
The reason you fill out a card at a dealership is so the Rolex
dealership can check you out.
If they think your not someone they want to sell to, the Dealer
won’t sell you a Rolex watch but they will Lie to you and tell
you your on a “waiting list”.
Waiting lists don’t exist a a Rolex dealership.
What I am not sure of is why you can buy a real Rolex on Amazon.
If its true then why go to a Rolex dealer where they spy on you
and decide if they want to sell you a Rolex watch?
Most Rolex watches are bought by people who want to look rich.
They are mainly purchased by upper middle class income buyers.
A Rolex watch is about vanity and impressing people.
Its also about the fact Rolex watches not only retain their value
but go up in value.
I spoke with a guy named Bob who was given a Rolex explorer as
a gift. I think he said it wasn’t new when he got it.
I asked him what it was worth when he got his Rolex and he said
about $5,000. Now its worth about $13,000 he said.
Why people would spen $13,000 for a Rolex explorer that was made
20 or so years ago when a new Rolex explorer can be purchased for
$7,500 or less is a mystery to me.
Not really.
People are buying used Rolex watches for investments and to impress
other people.
They are not really interested in just buying a Rolex watch to tell time.
If you compare the two different versions of the same watch above it
is hard to tell the difference.
